Current scenario: When I press backspace on any text editing field, doing so to the beginning removes the field. This is nice, except it removes the field if I remove the last character. There is no blank state of the field. Rather, it goes from one character to completely hidden.
I am proposing that the blank state is re-added. So, the new scenario would be to hit backspace until there are zero characters left. Then, only when there are zero characters left, does hitting backspace again hide the field.
