We have an attribute that needs new options every quarter. Any new task should only have the new options. But, old tasks should still have the previous attribute options.
Removing old options currently requires a new value set for the tasks affected.
Looking for a way to keep the old attribute options while only allowing new ones to be selected.
Hi, Hannah! Though we may explore enabling an archive feature for attributes, there is currently no way to hide certain options from the drop down.
In the interim, a lightweight workaround would be to use a task form when creating the new tasks. This will allow for you to denote in the description the appropriate options to assign to the task so team members will know to use the new set vs. the old set.

Hey, Hannah! Wanted to circle back and let you know that you can now archive individual attribute options (without having to archive the entire Attribute itself.) Simply go into the attribute settings page, select the specific options you want to archive, and voila! Hope this helps to streamline your workflow!
