[feature] Relative date format ("today", "tomorrow", etc.)

It would be nice to show date values in their relative format, such as “today” and “tomorrow”. For example, here is how Notion implements its “relative” date format:

Height’s existing date format, “Days since today”, resembles this behavior but uses “0 days ago” and “1 day from now” for “today” and “tomorrow”, respectively (Height screenshot).

To be honest, I think Notion’s implementation goes too far with distant dates like “Last Friday”. I would be happiest if Height’s “Days since today” format merely showed “Yesterday”, “Today”, and “Tomorrow” for “1 day ago”, “0 days ago”, and “1 day from now”, respectively.

Ahh, very solid suggestion that I myself would enjoy  I’ll pass it along to the team. Thanks, Danny!

Just wanted to Chime in here and add a request for a similar feature, but for @reminders that would be private to you only anywhere they’re made (i.e. list, chat, description, title, etc.)

YES, would love to be able to set up multiple and/or recurring reminders for tasks! Esp. if you could choose to be reminded based on a task’s due date OR start date (i.e., “remind me X hours/days/weeks before task start”). It makes total sense to have reminders before something is due so you complete it on time, but at least for me/my job, I also need reminders before I need to begin work on a task or before an event starts, so that I can give myself plenty of time to plan and prepare.

Hey, folks! Supporting reminders is on our roadmap – I’ll circle back once it’s implemented. I’ll also make note of your use case Jenee for allowing reminders to be set independent of start/due dates :+1:
